(88), Veteran of the Korean Conflict, passed away on June 6, 2018 in Gardena. He is predeceased by parents, Chotaro and Buno Sugita; siblings, Hatsuko, Choye, and Choji Sugita, Chiyeko Tsukashima; and survived by his sister, Takako Yamashiro and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park with Rev. John Iwohara from Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.
