(87) resident of Los Angeles, passed away on January 25, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1929 to Miyuki and Chiyomi (née Nihei) Muto in Sacramento, CA. The Mutos were interned at Tule Lake Relocation Center in California during the war, and in 1950 she and her parents moved to Los Angeles. In 1957, she married John Akio Watanabe, formerly of Fife, Washington, and would have celebrated their 60th marriage anniversary together this year. 

She is also survived by her three children, two grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. Per her final request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Family also requests no flowers or koden.
