A private graveside funeral service for Chieko Fujimori, 100 year-old, Los Angeles, CA-born Nisei, who passed away on November 4, 2019 in Torrance, was held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Miyabe from Venice Free Methodist Church officiating.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Fujimori, Phyllis (Richard) Jike and Patti Joe (Burt) Koons; grandchildren, Ryan and Shelby Jike; sister, Michi Nakata; siblings-in-law, James (Miyo) Fujimori, Rose Masuoka and Betty (Thomas) Yano; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
