A private funeral service for Connie Shizuko Matayoshi, 71 year-old, Los Angeles, CA-born Nisei, who passed away on May 9, 2023 in Los Angeles, was held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Senshin Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by her husband, Dexter Nishiyama; brother, Gene (Maria) Matayoshi; sister-in-law, Esther (Mike) Ota; also survived by five nieces and many other relatives.
