Dennis Hidekazu Kato, of Culver City, Calif., passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021 in Santa Monica, at the age of 94. He was born in Aiea, HI., and was a resident of the Los Angeles area for 53 years. He was a dedicated husband and a beloved father and grandfather. He is predeceased by his wife Violet and is survived by his daughters Iris (Scott) Aiboshi and Stephanie Tademaru, grandchildren, Allyson, Leann, and Camryn Aiboshi, Derek (Deisy) Tademaru, Rachel (Roan) van Dyk, and Nicole Tademaru, sister, Elaine Kamibayashi of Honolulu, HI, many nieces, nephews and loving relatives. He will always be remembered for his upbeat and cheerful spirit. He enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing, working in his garden, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. A private family gathering will be held in Hawaii at a later date.
