(78) passed away on May 8, 2016 in Long Beach. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Sugiyama; sons, Darren (Emilia) and Brandon Sugiyama; grandson, Estevan Sugiyama; sisters-in-law, Waka Sugiyama, Marsha (John Wills) Shelbey and Kathlyn Ninomiya; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 4:00PM at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 3955 N. Studebaker Rd., Long Beach, CA 90808.
