(85), passed away on August 21, 2017 in Pasadena. He is survived by his wife, Helen Wakamatsu; son, Tod (Mable) Wakamatsu; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Alexandra Wakamatsu; 3 sisters; 1 brother; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A private service was held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the graveside of Rose Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Ray Fukumoto officiating.
