(78), passed away peacefully on April 9, 2014 in Santa Monica. He is survived by his wife, Teruko Kitahara; children, Keiichi (Naomi) Kitahara, Fumiko (Simon) Otto, Hiroko (Michael) Domes; five grandchildren: Kendall, Tate, Max, Evan and Lauren; brother, Tetsuo (Masae) Kitahara of Japan; sister, Hiroka Miyama of Japan; also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends across the U.S., Japan and Brazil.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 5:00PM at WLA Buddhist Temple, 2003 Corinth Ave., LA.
