(88), more commonly known as Hisa Miya, born in Layton, Utah on June 28, 1926, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Miya; siblings, Hanako Ito, Kiku Takeda, and Masa, Kazu and Tomio Miya; and is survived by his children, Vickie (Ron) Nakagawa and Kirk (Kathy) Miya; grandchildren, Nolan and Carl Miya, and Brooke and Courtney Nakagawa; sister, Fumiko Matsumoto; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Dr., Culver City, CA.
