A private memorial service for Hisako Miyashiro, 90 year-old, Los Angeles, CA born Nisei, who passed away on January 8, 2017 in Los Angeles, was held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the graveside of Green Hills Memorial Park, with Dr. Rev. Richard Kuyama from Centenary United Methodist church officiating.

She is survived by her children, Sally, Edward and Ernest Miyashiro; sister, Teruko Sakumoto of Okinawa, Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
