(95), passed away on May 20, 2018 in Torrance, CA. Jean was born and raised in San Francisco, CA, later moving to New York where she met her husband, Ryo and finally settling in Gardena, CA where she raised three boys. Jean returned to college when her boys were grown and earned a degree in Home Economics from Cal State Long Beach. She taught Home Economics at South Gate High School for many years. Jean is predeceased by her husband, Ryo and son, Stanley. She is survived by her sons, Glenn (Stephanie) and Kent (Jody) Komae; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Aaron, Russell (Jennifer), Darrin, Collin (Shannon), Bryce and Amie Komae, Marcy (Jerry) Binuya, Stacie (Anthony) Madlangbayan; ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Masa Fukui, Kathy Fukui, and Kimi Nakamura; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
