A private memorial service for Jeanette Ayako Nakata, 88-year-old, Hawaii-born Nisei, who passed away on February 24, 2023, in Torrance, was held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Kubota Mortuary, with Pastor Jim Miyabe from Venice Free Methodist Church officiating.

She is survived by her brothers, Ken (Jen) and Ronald Nakata; sister-in-law, Inez Nakata; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family kindly requests no flowers or koden.
