A private funeral service for Kaname Matoi, 93 year-old, Veteran of WWII, San Francisco, CA-born Nisei, who passed away on December 9, 2019 in Long Beach was held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park, with Rev. Richard Furukawa from Johrei Fellowship Los Angeles Center officiating.

He is survived by his children, Kevin Matoi, Lynda (Wayne) Nakahara, Craig (Donna) and David (Maily) Matoi; also survived by many other relatives.
