(97), passed away on November 12, 2018 in San Gabriel. She is survived by her children, Janet Kato (Richard) White of California, Bruce (Patty) Kato of Alaska, and Akio (Sachiko) Suzuki of Japan; grandchildren, Shanna Kato (Ragan) Burns, Lindsey Kato, Kylie Kato, Hiroshi (Hiromi) Esumi, and Kae Esumi; great-grandsons, Asher Kato, and Takema Esumi; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
