(82) passed away on December 29, 2016 in Torrance. He is survived by his wife, Tamiko Watanabe; children, Dianne (Rod) Shiozaki and Curtis (Debbie) and Larry (Anna) Watanabe; step-son, Paul Hiraoka; grandchildren, Tori, Jordan, Evan, Brandon, Justin, Benton and Tyler; brothers, Kinjiro (Ruby) and Bill Yosh (Ruth) Watanabe; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in the U.S. and Japan.

A private memorial service was held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Gardena Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Matsuda officiating.
