(90), passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 5, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jimmie Masaharu Matsumura. Beloved mother of, Irene Megumi (John) Ota and Emily Midori Matsumura; grandmother of, Brenton (Patcharanun) Mori, Brianne Mori, Erica (Christopher) Okada; great-grandmother of Akemi Emma Okada; sister of, Aiko (Akitomo) Sekine of Tokyo, Japan; sister-in-law of, Bill Shigeru (Yeiko) Matsumura; aunt of, Carol Tanita, Grace (David) Fukuyama, Hiroshi (Yoshiko) Sekine; great-aunt of, Allison Tanita, Nicholas Tanita, Michael Fukuyama; also survived by many other relatives in Japan.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00AM at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E. Third St., Los Angeles.
