(80), passed away on October 14, 2012 in Culver City. She is survived by her husband, Hitoshi Shimizu; daughters, Robyn (Marty) Cohen and Patti (John) Heyl; grandchildren, Kevin and Ryan Cohen, Jayme, Karyn, and Shawn Heyl; great grandson, Raiden Kainoa-Heyl; siblings, Robert (Sue) and Herbert Daimonji, and Carol (Richard) Ladera; sister-in-law, Dorothy Miyake; brother-in-law, Melvin (Rosa) Shimizu; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Venice Japanese Community Center, 12448 Braddock Dr., LA with Bishop Taisen Miyata from Koyasan Buddhist Temple officiating. The family requests that flowers be omitted and for casual attire.
