Leslie Akemi Yamada, 59 year-old, Los Angeles, CA-born Nisei peacefully passed away on June 18, 2020 after a two and-a-half year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Alan Yamada; parents, Sammy and Hideko Befu; brother, George (Anne Mettee) Befu; sister-in-law, Joanne (Larry) Yamaki; nephew, Trevor (Danielle) Mettee-Befu; great-nephew, Nathan Mettee-Befu; also survived by other relatives.
