(88) passed away on April 28, 2016 in Anaheim. She is survived by her husband, Tom Kitagawa; daughters, Denyce (Tim) Evert of Lancaster, CA and Lauryne (Larry) Silberman of New York City, NY; grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Newman of Lancaster, CA and Steven (Katrina) Downey of Anaheim, CA; great-granddaughters, Lauryne (Ian) Bartlett of Tacoma, WA, Jaymie Newman, and Yukiko Downey; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00AM at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Kitagawa may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church.
