He is survived by his wife, Kiyoko Tawa; sons, Ron (Suzi), Gary (Valerie), and Brian Tawa; grandchildren, Melissa, Brianna, Timothy, Nicholas (Michelle), Jonathan, and Joshua; great grandchildren, Mika and Cianna Tawa; sisters-in-law, Nellie Ishibashi, Kazuko Shimane, Keiko (Shiro) Ono, Helene Shimane and Chiye Shimane.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00AM at Cerritos Baptist Church 11947 Del Amo Blvd, Cerritos.
