A private funeral service for Nancy Michiko Asao, 86 year-old, El Monte, CA born Nisei, who peacefully passed away on August 29, 2012 in San Garbriel, was held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Shuichi Kurai from Sozenji Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Keiko, Duane Masaharu (Shirley), and Kerry Chiemi Asao; granddaughters, Marci, Trisha and Alyssa Asao; brother, Tom Kato; brother-in-law, Tokuji Yoshihashi; sister-in-law, Kazuko Asao; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
