A private funeral service was held for Noriko Fujimoto, 82, on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Shumyo Kojima from Zenshuji Soto Mission officiating.

An Issei originally from Wakayama, Japan, Mrs. Fujimoto is survived by her children, Miki (Brian) Zeyak of Cary, NC; Yumi (Tony) Honkawa; and Emi, John (Tracy) and Michi Fujimoto; grandchildren, Miles, Curtis and Derek Honkawa; Matthew and Mayumi Zeyak; Kyle and Megan Rodriquez; Nicole, Ryan and Brandon Fujimoto; also survived by many other relatives in both the US and Japan.
