A private funeral service for Sam Isamu Matsuda, 93 year-old, Salinas, CA born Nisei, who peacefully passed away on June 29, 2013 in Los Angeles, was held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. Fumiaki Usuki of WLA Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Nobuko Matsuda; sons, Tak (Virginia), Tommy (Lindy) and Kenny Matsuda; grandchildren, Danielle, Veronica and Brandon Matsuda; sister-in-law, Chieko Nakamura of Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
