(87) peacefully passed away on December 12, 2012. He is survived by his wife,Helene Shimane; children; Janice (Ed) Yamanaka, John (Nancy) and Jeffrey (Christine) Shimane; grandchildren, Megan and Patrick Yamanaka, Justin, Devin, and CAden Shimane; siblings, Alyce Ishimoto, Nellie Ishibashi, Kiyo (Mas) TAwa, Kaz Shimane, and Keiko (Shiro) Ono; sisters-in-law, Chiye Shimane and Jean (Dick) Enomoto; brothers-in-law, Ronald and Edward (Janet) Kamiya; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St. , Gardena, CA.
