A funeral service for Sam Tetsuo Kawata, 99 year-old, Lajunta, CO born Nisei who passed away on November 24, 2019 in Los Angeles, will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 10:00AM at LA Holiness Church, 3660 S. Gramercy Pl., Los Angeles, with Rev. Roland Hazama from Crossway Church of SFV officiating.

He is survived by his children, Christine (Dennis) Yamamoto and Rick Kawata; grandson, Stephen (Michelle) Yamamoto; great-grandsons, Trent and Blake Yamamoto; siblings-in-law, Amy Nakano, Helen Izuki and Hoover Ushiyama; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
