Shizuco “Suzie” Kakudo (96) passed away on November 18, 2024, in Santa Ana. She lived a full life and inspired several generations with her resilience and determination. Her loving husband, Masayuki “Mac” Kakudo, preceded her in death. She is survived by children, Marilyn Kakudo, Karilyn (Gary) Myers, Sharilyn (Keith) McKibben; grandchildren, Taggart Swift, Laurel (Alex Laws) Swift, Jackie (Wes Smith) Myers, Jennifer (Michael) McMahon, Kacy (Jake Turelli) Kakudo, EB (Taiki Sakai) McKibben. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A private funeral service was held on January 18, 2025, at Orange County Buddhist Church.
