A private funeral service for Taketsugu "Tak" Yoshida, 72 year-old, Yamaguchi, Japan-born Issei, Veteran of Vietnam War, who passed away on July 2, 2013 in Los Angeles, was held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko of L.A. Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Hiroko Yoshida; children Julie Sanae and Andrew Masafumi Yoshida; sisters, Emiko (Kiyoshi) Tashima, Yoko Ichikawa, and Tomoko Yoshida; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives in the U.S. and Japan.
