(87), passed away on May 18, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband, Masao Okanishi; daughter, Terri; sister, Masako Nishida; brothers, Masato, Masakazu, and Masatsugu; and survived by her son, Joseph Okanishi; sisters-in-law, Rose Uyeno, Matsuko Uyeno, Emiko Okanishi, Kimiko (Arnold) Maeda, Natsuko (Yosh) Akiyama; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A family funeral service was held at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, with a family burial service held at Angelus-Rosedale Cemetery. Both services were officiated by Mother Anna Olson of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. Many thanks to the staff and administration of Serrano North Convalescent Hospital for 3 ½ years of resolute care and support.
