(90), San Francisco, California born Nisei, long time resident of West Los Angeles passed away on May 31, 2016 in Torrance. She is predeceased by her brothers, James and Akira Toya; survived by her children, Ronald (Joni), Kenneth (Diane), Daniel (Anarella) Sakurai, and Costance Nakata; grandchildren, Kristyn, Jessica, Melanie, and Kayla Sakurai, Wenli and Aiden Nakata; siblings, George (May) Toya and Grace (Dr. Jack) Fujimoto; sisters-in-law, Helen Shishino and Florence (Michael) Ray, the latter from Plano TX; brother-in-law, Fred (Charlene) Sakurai; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 4:00PM at West LA Buddhist Temple, 2003 Corinth Ave., LA.
